Regional Loan Funds/Grants

Various Loans and Grants have always been available from regional bodies but, since the onset of the credit crunch, these funds have become more and more important.

Every year, Local Authorities, Chambers of Commerce, Local Enterprise Partnerships and other (mainly) public bodies bid for funding through a variety of channels, but predominantly the Regional Growth Fund (RGF) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Eligibility for these funds can be extremely confusing, and it is very easy for a business to spend a huge amount of time on an application before being declined.

However, securing a Grant can be very worthwhile so it is definitely worth exploring whether your company may be eligible.
